Rokhsareh Vahid

Born in Iran, raised in the United States, and having lived in England since 2015, Rokhsareh speaks fluent Farsi (Persian), English, and basic Spanish.

Rokhsareh earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctor of Jurisprudence degrees with honours. She qualified as an attorney in Texas in 2010. She worked at the Texas Supreme Court before graduating as a lawyer. As an American lawyer, her practice focused on sanction law, commercial litigation, and civil rights.

Rokhsareh completed her LLM in International Business and Commerce Law at The University of Manchester in December 2016. Since then, she has been working as a legal professional in England and she has handled many high-profile cases. She has appeared in the Guardian and accepted public speaking engagements on matters relating to litigation and civil rights in the US, Europe, Iran, and the UK.

Rokhsareh specialises in Sanctions and Banking Law and is particularly renowned for her expertise in the area, her exceptional client care skills and her representation of vulnerable individuals. As a result, majority of Rokhsareh’s clients come from referrals by friends, colleagues, and other clients.

Sanction Law 

Sandra brings extensive experience in sanction law advice and litigation. Her background in litigation and sanction law allows her to provide insightful and comprehensive advice in complex cases involving sanction sensitive countries. In particular, she is known for her sensitive approach to such cases whilst maintaining a forthright manner in court in order to achieve the best result overall for her clients.

Rokhsareh is continually enhancing her expertise through ongoing reading of changes in sanction law and attending sanction law conferences. Her dedication to professional development ensures she remains at the forefront of legal practice in these areas.

Banking Law

Rokhsareh has organised and acted in hundreds of litigation cases against high street banks in relation to bank account closures and bank account restrictions. Rokhsareh has also successfully acted in cases involving Account Freezing Orders and Account Forfeiture orders as well as Authorised Push Payment (APP) fraud cases. She has expert knowledge of the contractual and regulatory obligations on banks and, therefore, she is well-placed to defend clients in cases involving these issues. Throughout her career, Rokhsareh has achieved exceptional outcomes for her clients.
